Everyone is always interested in my own home. Here it is. It has also appeared in House Beautiful magazine

My house is an Edwardian double fronted terraced house in Herne Hill. Despite being truly thrilled by modern architecture I’ve come to love its quirks and even I will admit it has some stunning original features – a moulded tin ceiling, beautiful stained glass, soft warm brick. Even though I’m not just about to impose my style on my clients, I do have a style.

Design tip: We are working slowly and sensitively through the house. First a kitchen extension, then replacing windows, new bathrooms, finally carpets and curtains. Like most people we don’t have the money to do it all at once and frankly you get a better result if you don’t. The finish is more considered and less uniform and that gives you a layered, interesting result.
