I renovated a great 2 bedroom flat by the canal in Broadway Market, Hackney. The flat has great bones – with a wooden floor and lots of natural light as well as a killer nation looking over the canal at the south end of Broadway Market.
We totally refitted the kitchen. We reconfigured the layout and moved the door (replacing it with a space saving pocket door) to make sense of the layout of the kitchen as well as the rest of the flat. Quality appliance were a must – with a hob and oven from Neff and may favourite Franke sink and tap, complementing a cheap but sturdy kitchen from Howdens, The utility function was moved to a cupboard in the hall, behind louvre doors with the appliances stacked on top of one another. This has really made a difference to the functionality of the flat – I love squeezing additional space where there was none before !
Finally the bathroom was completely refitted, incorporating a ton of storage. Only bathrooms on instagram have only three classy glass bottles and a plant ! Quality tiles add interest to the bathroom and are visible from the bedrooms and hall too, adding a splash of pattern to the overall scheme.
